The not so final arc is here!

I'm having trouble with RGSS errors. Twice now (last night when I first started playing, and again now this morning), I've gotten two RGSS errors that appear to be completely random.

Within the first two floors of the Hand's tower in the beginning?the first error was a "script is hanging" that appeared out of the blue while I was walking around. I forget exactly what the second one said, but it appeared while I had paused the game (also while walking around in the Tower) and gone downstairs to get food. I come back to my computer and there was an error and the game had crashed.

Any idea what's going on, and can these be fixed? I'm going to give it one more try?but if the game is unplayable I might have to wait for another release.

Sounds like you were getting the status display script error that appears when you leave the game soaking on the menu screen too long. It looks like this.



I had outside help with this script so I'm waiting for the original scripter to track down the problem (although he seems to have disappeared in my team of need). To avoid it just don't leave the game soaking on the main menu screen for more than minute.

Yeah, that's definitely it.

Does it happen if I were to spend more than a minute in the menu doing stuff, like equipping or using items? Or just if I open it and don't touch anything.

I think it is only if you leave it on the main menu for over a minute as that is the only screen that displays the player's status.

Once again, you guys have out-done yourselves. Download the game at 11 last night and finished it a few minutes ago (with about 7 hours of sleep in between). I only got stuck at one point, which had a solution here on the forums.

I swear; someday Hollywood is going to dig this game up and get stars in their eyes. You have to promise us, though, that when that happens, you won't give in to any script or story changes! ^^

I have to say that the most awe-inspiring part was when Laurel got her wings. Does that answer your questions about Arcadius's will, Laurel? Lol. Still my favorite character...

New version is going up. The status display script has been modified and the bugs related to it are no more.

I know most of you are probably feeling arc VI fatigue by now, but I'd appreciate it if anyone would download and play it a little to verify that everything is in working order. The major changes have been in the way statuses are displayed so testing battles is priority.

I'd love to ... I played once already, but the latest Arc was epic. I want to play again, but after completing it without a single error... I suddenly get this "access denied, try logging in as the admin" error.  (plus my AVG anti virus thinks ur game is a virus and keeps popping up and saying "warning Trojan".  I don't buy it though, I think the anti-virus program is just a bit over-protective.

:-/  :-(   The old arcs also show the same error now, I can't play any of the arcs.  I tried searching the net, something said something about dlls not being registered properly, I tried making a batch file to re-register them, but that didn't help at all.  If anyone knows how to fix this, I'd love some help.

hmm I had this error for two whole days... and suddenly it works after trying it randomly... dunno what the heck this was... but I'm gonna play again.  I'll download the latest version and play that.
