]Oh god. It's not that weird fucking anime is it? With the drill things. There was a guy with a kind of face on his chest, wasnt there?
Actually this was even before Gurren Lagann. Look up the Darkstalkers fighting games for a guy named Bishamon. I love the character designs in that series of games, maybe I should buy that Udon tribute book one day...

Okay, I got some screens...nothing all that spoilery, though obviously if you haven't yet played all six of the released arcs, you may want to navigate elsewhere. Our heroes get ready to take to the skies! The master-apprentice bond between Solik and Rana has become strained to say the least... A visit to the late Lysander Barca's grave gives way to a rare instance of Ariel opening her heart. Just as a FYI, we have a lot of scenes done that are far more impressive visually than these...but to show them would be massive spoilers and they are probably best experienced ingame. Please look forward to it!

Oh, hey nifty. That second screenshot blows my theory that it wasn't really Elissa, but rather Rana been made to dress up like her. Still, could just be some punter Solik's picked up.

Yay new screens! Been a while without some of these. Out of curiosity what is the progress of Arc VII and/or the super duper mega/etc. pack? Meaning are they 50% done, 60%, etc, etc?

The Revision has almost been complete for months. I've just been busy being a full game designer now and any time I do find to work on MotW I usually devote to arc VII. In honor of our independence this weekend (and having a 3-day weekend) I'll try to get it beta ready.
Arc VII is coming along well. The dev team has been picking up steam. Enkur is pumping out new art almost daily now and Volrath has been busy directing some very visually impressive cutscenes. Almost the entire first 1/3rd of the game is playable now with a few missing gameplay elements. We're hoping to have it all said and done by the end of the year.

Piggybacking on that, the revised Arcs I-VI might have been out earlier were it not for Enkur's current streak of awesome. He's gotten so much done that a version of Arc I with 100% custom battlers is now a goal within reach. Hard to resist that.
For Arc VII, as ArtBane said, the first third is almost done, minus a few fights and puzzles to be finished up. A while ago, AB also did extensive work on the final dungeon, though that's not totally done either. My approach has been piecemeal, I've been working on various cutscenes that weren't too technically demanding just to get them good to go. This arc is already the most ambitious by far when it comes to the effects/visuals of the series.

Piggybacking on your piggyback, arc I is now only missing one more battler. Good thing Enkur has the Eye of the Tiger.

Random encounters will not seem so random next release. Now you can toggle on an Encounter Meter which will display how close you are to your next encounter. In addition, there are two new items that can be used to modify the encounter rate sold at a fairy store near you.

Oooh, nifty. Does it constantly increase or is it random?

It's linear. The arrow starts in the green when the number of steps till your next encounter is at max and moves towards the red as it decreases.

One of my major goals with the Revision is to make available information that was previously hidden. This included a re-haul of the equipment screen. Now, instead of just stats, the screen will display weapon elements and attack states and armor elements and defense states. If you're not sure what this entails then have a look for yourself:

If you're not sure what this entails then have a look for yourself: Very cool! So when it says "Armor States" and lists statuses like "burned" or "poisened" or whatever, I assume that means what statuses it's protective against? Anyway, a very cool feature. Really looking forward to this.
